The officers of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative, investigative and procedural activities detained two persons in Telavi municipality: I.U. (DoB 1996) and A.N. (DoB 1995).
I.U. is accused of knowingly committing violence against an under-aged family member on purpose, which envisages up to three years of imprisonment, while A.N. is charged with sexual offence committed against a person who has not reached the age of sixteen. The committed crime envisages from 7 to 9 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that A.N. had sexual relations with an under-aged person born in 2006 in Telavi Municipality. The fact became known to family members of the minor, after which the young female was physically assaulted by the brother several times.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of domestic violence and sexual offence against an under-aged person, article 1261 II part, sub-paragraph “A” and article 140, I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
