The officers of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained G.M., (DoB 1992), as a result of immediate operative-investigative activities. The detainee is accused of the premeditated murder of 2 people committed under aggravating circumstances.
The committed crime envisages from 16 to 20 years or life imprisonment.
The investigation established that on April 4 of the current year, in the village of Rioni, Tskaltubo Municipality, the accused person shot and wounded his relatives - A.M., (DoB 1984) and A.M., (DoB 1985), with a shotgun and fled from the place of crime. Both men died at the scene due to the sustained traumas.
Law enforcers arrested G.M. as an accused person within hours after the incident. Police seized a weapon of crime- a hunting rifle - as evidence.
The investigation is progress on the fact of premeditated murder committed under aggravating circumstances envisaged under article 109, Part III, Subparagraph "A" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
