Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili held meeting with the chairman of the investigative committee of Belarus Ivan Noskevich.
At the meeting Minister outlined fruitful and close cooperation with Belarusian law enforcement agencies in the field of the fight against the organized crime, implemented on the basis of the agreement concluded between Georgia and Belarus.
As it was stated by the Minister police attache of Georgia in Belarus has greatly contributed to enhancement of the cooperation in the mutual fight against the organized crime and operative exchange of information between the two countries’ law enforcement agencies.
Minister acquainted his guest with implemented and scheduled reforms including high-tech and multi-functional Joint Operations Center which is aimed to increase the role of high technologies in police activities and improve the crime prevention. Giorgi Mgebrishvili also discussed the project that envisages to convert MIA Academy into regional-educational center.
“It is important for us to have the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, as a reliable partner in the fight against the organized crime. I want to thank Giorgi Mgebrishvili for the warm hospitality and fruitful meeting. I hope that that our cooperation will be even more close in the future”-stated Ivan Noskevich.
At the meeting Minister of Internal Affairs and chairman of the investigative committee of Belarus have signed the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and investigative committee of Belarus .
Within the frames of the visit Ivan Noskevich will visit MIA Academy, Joint Operations center and 112 Center.
