Delegation of the German journalists visited the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, comprised of journalists from the leading German TV companies and printed media. Delegation was hosted by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Shalva Khutsishvili.
At the meeting Deputy Minister made a comprehensive presentation of activities held by various MIA departments. Shalva Khutsishvili discussed implemented and ongoing as well as scheduled reforms as well as priority directions of the agency. He outlined successful international police cooperation of the Ministry in the fight against crime and results achieved in this field. As Deputy Minister stated the agreement will be signed between MIA and EUROPOL in the nearest future which will further enhance cooperation with partner countries in the field of crime detection and prevention.
Shalva Khutsishvili provided answers to all questions raised by the journalists.
Guests positively assessed activities of the Georgian law enforcers. They expressed particular satisfaction on the effectiveness of the work of the Ministry at the border crossing points of the country.
At the end of the meeting foreign guests had an opportunity to see technic and equipment of the Georgian law enforcers.
