The officers of Anti-corruption Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs along with State Security Agency as a result of jointly held operative-searching and investigative activities revealed and detained cashers of “Georgian Railway” Davit K. Irma Tch. and Shalva I. for misappropriation of sums in large quantities by misusing their authority.
Investigation established that detainees misappropriated sum up to 71 290 GEL owned by the “Georgian Railway” from the special appliance installed in Tbilisi-Borjomi-Tbilisi Train wwhich is aimed for purchasing tickets.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of money appropriation, article 182, II part, sub-paragraph D and part III of the same article, sub-paragraph B of the Criminal Code. The committed crime envisages from 7 to 11 years of imprisonment.
