The officers of Anti-corruption Agency and General Inspection of MIA as a result of jointly conducted searching-operative activities exposed the Deputy Head of III division of Protection Organization Main Division of MIA Security Police, Badri Menognishvili for swindling.
Investigation established that Badri Menognishvili with the purpose of appropriating 10 000 USD, promise citizen to assist in purchasing 7097 square metres of land area with 2 buildings owned by Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
The law enforcers detained Badri Menognishvili in Tbilisi in the moment of appropriation of abovementioned sum by swindling.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of swindling, article 180, III part B sub-paragraph. The committed crime envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.
