Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, along with the heads of various agencies, attended the presentation of the Special Council for the Prevention of Individual Official Crimes. After the opening of the event, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Aleksandre Darakhvelidze addressed the participants of the meeting.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs emphasized the importance of coordinated work of member agencies of the Council.
Within the framework of the event, in order to take effective steps against crimes committed by officials, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, the head of the Special Investigation Service - Koka Katsitadze, the Deputy Prosecutor General - Giorgi Gabitashvili, the Deputy Minister of Justice - Tornike Cheishvili and the First Deputy head of the State Security Service - Aleksi Batiashvili.
The document envisions the elaboration of an effective mechanism for the prevention of official crimes, violent and improper treatment by law enforcement officers.
The participants in the event discussed the forms of future cooperation based on the memorandum, the rights and responsibilities of the parties involved in the memorandum.
The ceremony of signing the memorandum of cooperation was attended by the representatives of the Public Defender's Office, non-governmental and international organizations.
