The officers of State Security Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of complex activities, discovered underground cache covered with special camouflage. The cache was arranged under the direct supervision of former high ranking officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during the previous government. Law enforcers detected explosive materials and devices in large quantities aimed for large scale war campaigns such as subversive operations as well as hand grenades, automatic and other type of firearms, communications gear, military ammunition and hard drugs and psychotropic medicines- “heroine” “cocaine” “opium” “subutex” and other.
During the search operation law enforcers also seized photo material and private data archive of some of the individuals, whose arrest was scheduled, by means of false charges, in case of victory of the United National Movement in October 1, 2012 Parliamentary elections. It is noteworthy that some of the files are handwritten, creating an important base of evidences in order to promptly identify and arrest those who are responsible for compiling the abovementioned records.
Underground cache also included video tapes depicting brutal torture, sexual abuse, beating and inhumane treatment of individuals perpetrated by the representatives of law enforcement agencies. Video tapes are being studied at the moment by the law enforcers.
At this stage of investigation it can be stated that timely detection and neutralization of the cache helped to prevent an especially grave crime directed against the state and public security.
